How the migration runs, step by step

Free site audit (24 hours)
We look at your live site, hosting setup, plugins or apps, content volume and SEO footprint. You get a written audit and a fixed-price quote.

Staging build (Day 1-2)
We copy your site to a staging environment on the new host: database, files, media, themes, plugins and configuration.

Redirect map + SEO checks (Day 2-3)
We build a 301 redirect map from every old URL to its new one, and keep or rebuild meta tags, schema markup, sitemaps and canonical tags.

QA on staging (Day 3-4)
We check every key page, form, payment flow and integration, plus speed and mobile layout. You review the staging site before any DNS change.

Planned cutover (Day 5, or Day 7 on Professional)
We lower the DNS TTL in advance, then switch DNS. The old site stays live until the new one is confirmed working, and if anything looks wrong after cutover, we roll back the same day.

Post-launch warranty
The warranty runs 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Professional and 1 year on Enterprise. We watch uptime and Search Console errors and fix issues that show up as traffic settles.

How long does a typical website migration take?+
Starter migrations (up to 50 pages) are delivered in 5 business days. Professional migrations (up to 500 pages, including stores) take 7 business days. Enterprise migrations get a delivery date in the written quote after the free audit.
Will my site be down during the migration?+
We plan the cutover so your current site stays live until the new one has passed QA on staging, then switch DNS. Short DNS propagation effects are possible, so we schedule the switch for a quiet window.
Will I lose my Google rankings after the migration?+
Nobody can guarantee rankings, and Google notes that rankings can fluctuate while it recrawls a moved site. A careful migration removes the avoidable causes of loss. We build a 301 redirect map from every old URL, keep on-page content and meta tags, move schema markup, submit the new sitemap in Search Console right after cutover and watch Search Console for the next 7 days.
How much does a website migration cost?+
Starter costs $99 for up to 50 pages. Professional costs $299 for up to 500 pages, online stores included. Larger or multi-site projects get a custom quote after the free audit. The price in your quote is the price you pay, with no hourly billing.
What happens if something breaks after the migration?+
Every project includes a post-launch warranty: 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Professional and 1 year on Enterprise. If something breaks after launch, such as a redirect, missing content or a plugin conflict, we fix it at no extra cost. After the warranty ends, ongoing support is quoted separately.
Do you migrate to and from any platform?+
We migrate between WordPress, Shopify, Shopify Plus, Magento 1 and 2, Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Drupal, Joomla, Ghost and custom PHP or Node.js stacks. If yours isn't listed, ask.
Do you handle ecommerce stores with thousands of products?+
Yes. Stores larger than the Professional plan's 500 pages move on the Enterprise plan, with a custom quote. That covers catalog migration, custom attribute mapping, multi-currency and complex shipping and tax rules. Each Enterprise project starts with a scoping call.
What do you need from me to start?+
Admin access to the source site (hosting panel, CMS admin, registrar), the new host's details if you have them, brand assets if a redesign is in scope, and the 5 products or pages that matter most for QA. We send a checklist with the signed quote.
