How the migration runs, step by step

Magento audit and fixed quote (within 24 hours)
We check your Magento version, product count, custom attributes, extensions, payment and shipping setup, B2B features and theme code. You get a written migration plan and a fixed-price quote within 24 hours.

Shopify store setup (Day 1)
We set up the Shopify or Shopify Plus store and style a theme to match your Magento storefront, or the new design you pick. Domain, payments, shipping zones and tax are configured while the catalog moves.

Catalog export and mapping (Day 1-3)
We export the catalog through the Magento REST API or the database. Configurable products become Shopify products with variants, bundled and grouped products are rebuilt with a bundle app, and custom attributes become metafields.

Customers and orders (Day 3-4)
Customer accounts are imported into Shopify. Magento passwords can't be carried over, so at launch each customer gets a branded invite to set a new one. Past orders are imported so customer service can look up any order.

Redirect map and SEO checks (Day 4-5)
Every Magento URL (products, categories, CMS pages) gets a 301 redirect to its Shopify equivalent. Meta titles, descriptions and alt text move across, and the new sitemap goes to Search Console after cutover.

Apps, integrations and QA (Day 5-6)
Reviews and your email platform are set up on Shopify, plus subscriptions, ERP or 3PL links when your Enterprise quote includes them. We then place a test order end to end and check the payment capture, the fulfilment notice and the customer email.

Planned cutover (Day 7 on Professional)
We lower the DNS TTL in advance, run a final sync to catch new orders, then switch DNS. Your Magento store stays online for 30 days as a fallback, and we check Search Console and conversion tracking on the live site.

I'm still on Magento 1. Is this urgent?+
Yes. Magento 1 stopped getting official security patches after June 2020, so a store still running it has gone years without vendor fixes. A Magento 1 store of up to 500 pages moves on the Professional plan in 7 business days, counted from the day we receive the deposit and store access.
Will my Magento configurable products transfer correctly?+
Yes. Configurable products become Shopify products with variants, and each Magento attribute is mapped to a variant option or a metafield so your storefront filters keep working. Bundled and grouped products are rebuilt with a bundle app. If a product has more options than Shopify allows on one product, we flag it in the audit before you get the quote.
Will my Magento customer passwords transfer?+
No. Shopify can't import passwords from another store, because they are encrypted outside Shopify. At launch each customer gets a branded invite to set a new password. We help write that email so customers know it is part of the move.
What happens to my Magento order history?+
Past orders are imported with line items, customer, date, totals and shipping details. Your team can search them by order number, customer email or product. New orders are processed in Shopify from launch.
Will my Google rankings survive a Magento to Shopify migration?+
Nobody can guarantee rankings. A complete redirect map removes the avoidable causes of loss: we 301 every Magento URL pattern (/catalog/product/view/id/... or your rewrites) to the matching Shopify product or collection URL, carry over titles, descriptions and alt text, and submit the new sitemap after cutover.
What about my Magento extensions?+
Reviews, wishlists, search, subscriptions, B2B and multi-currency all have options in the Shopify App Store or in Shopify itself. We list your extensions during the audit and confirm a replacement for each before quoting. A custom Magento module is either rebuilt as a custom Shopify app on the Enterprise plan or replaced with a change in workflow.
