Platforms we migrate to and from

If your source or target platform isn't listed, ask — we've done dozens of custom-stack migrations including legacy PHP, ASP.NET, and proprietary CMS.

WordPress.com → WordPress.org
WordPress.org host-to-host (any → any)
Webflow → WordPress
Wix → WordPress
Squarespace → WordPress
Drupal → WordPress
Joomla → WordPress
Static HTML → WordPress
Ghost → WordPress
WordPress → Headless (Next.js / Astro)
Hostinger / GoDaddy / Bluehost / SiteGround / Kinsta / WP Engine / Cloudways

How the migration runs, step by step

  1. 1

    WordPress audit (24 hours)

We inspect your site for plugin compatibility, theme bloat, custom code, database size, and any known WordPress-specific blockers (broken cron jobs, transient overload, custom tables, etc.). You get a written audit + fixed-price quote.

  2. 2

Staging build on target host (Day 1-2)

Full wp-content + database migrated to the new host. We verify wp-config.php constants, wp_options siteurl/home values, and run a fresh WordPress install if a clean rebuild is preferred.

  3. 3

Plugin + theme verification (Day 2-3)

Each active plugin is tested on the new environment. We resolve conflicts, replace abandoned plugins with maintained alternatives if needed, and update theme files for PHP-version compatibility.

  4. 4

Redirect map + SEO preservation (Day 3-4)

All existing permalinks preserved by default. If permalink structure must change, we build a complete 301 redirect map. Yoast/RankMath data, schema markup, and XML sitemaps are migrated intact.

  5. 5

    Zero-downtime cutover (Day 5)

DNS TTL pre-lowered. Database synced one more time at cutover to capture any new content. Search Console immediately resubmitted with the new sitemap.

Frequently asked questions

Can you move my WordPress site to a new host without downtime?+

Yes. We build a complete copy of your site on the new host first, verify it works end-to-end on a temporary domain or hosts-file override, then switch DNS only after the new site is confirmed working. Your live site stays up until that moment.

What if my old host has restrictions or limits on database exports?+

Common issue. We have multiple methods to extract WordPress data — direct SQL dump, WP-CLI, plugin-based export, or manual file-by-file replication. We've worked around even the most restrictive shared hosting setups. Mention your host in the contact form and we'll confirm before the audit.

Will my plugins still work on the new host?+

Almost always yes. We test every active plugin against the new host's PHP version, memory limits, and Apache/nginx configuration. If a plugin is incompatible or has been abandoned, we'll recommend a maintained alternative during the audit — you decide whether to swap before or after migration.

Will my WooCommerce orders, customers, and product data transfer?+

Yes, in full. Products, variations, orders, customers, sessions, payment gateway configuration, shipping zones, tax rules, and coupons all migrate. Stripe and PayPal credentials are re-installed manually for security. You can place a test order on the new host before going live.

Will I lose my Google rankings after a WordPress migration?+

No, when done correctly. We preserve every permalink by default. If your permalink structure must change (e.g. moving from default to post-name), we build a complete 301 redirect map. Yoast/RankMath data, focus keywords, meta descriptions, and schema markup all transfer.

Do you migrate from WordPress.com to WordPress.org?+

Yes — this is one of our most common migrations. We export from WordPress.com, provision a new WordPress.org install on your chosen host, import content, and re-point your custom domain. Followers and Jetpack stats can be reconfigured post-migration.

What if I want to upgrade my WordPress version too?+

Included free during migration. We bring your WordPress core up to the current stable version, update plugins to compatible versions, and verify everything still works on the new install before cutover.

How fast can you start?+

Most projects start the day after the quote is signed. If you have a hard deadline (renewal, contract expiry, traffic spike), mention it during the audit and we'll commit to a delivery date in writing.
