How the migration runs, step by step

WordPress audit (24 hours)
We check plugin compatibility, theme weight, custom code, database size and WordPress-specific blockers such as broken cron jobs, transient build-up or custom tables. You get a written audit and a fixed-price quote.

Staging build on the new host (Day 1-2)
We move wp-content and the database to the new host and check the wp-config.php constants and the siteurl and home values in wp_options. If you prefer a clean rebuild, we start from a fresh WordPress install.

Plugin and theme checks (Day 2-3)
We test each active plugin on the new server and resolve conflicts. Abandoned plugins get a maintained replacement if you want one, and theme files are updated for the new PHP version.

Redirect map and SEO checks (Day 3-4)
Permalinks stay the same by default. If the structure has to change, we build a full 301 redirect map. Yoast or Rank Math data, schema markup and XML sitemaps move with the site.

Planned cutover (Day 5, or Day 7 on Professional)
We lower the DNS TTL in advance and sync the database one last time at cutover, so posts or orders made during the move are kept. Then we submit the new sitemap in Search Console.

How much does a WordPress migration cost?+
Starter costs $99 for a WordPress site of up to 50 pages. Professional costs $299 for WooCommerce stores and sites of up to 500 pages. Multisite, headless and very large sites get a custom quote after the free audit. The price in your quote is the price you pay.
Can you move my WordPress site to a new host without downtime?+
Yes. We build a complete copy of your site on the new host, test it on a temporary domain or through a hosts-file override, and switch DNS only after it works. Your live site stays up until that moment.
What if my old host limits database exports?+
We have several ways to get WordPress data out: a direct SQL dump, WP-CLI, a plugin export or a file-by-file copy. Name your host in the contact form and we'll confirm the method before the audit.
Will my plugins still work on the new host?+
We test every active plugin against the new host's PHP version, memory limits and web server (Apache or nginx). If a plugin is incompatible or abandoned, the audit names a maintained alternative, and you decide whether to swap it before or after the move.
Will my WooCommerce orders, customers and product data transfer?+
Yes, on the Professional plan. Products, variations, orders, customers, payment gateway settings, shipping zones, tax rules and coupons all move. We re-enter Stripe and PayPal credentials by hand instead of copying them. You can place a test order on the new host before going live.
Will I lose my Google rankings after a WordPress migration?+
Nobody can guarantee rankings, and Google notes that rankings can fluctuate while it recrawls a moved site. A careful migration removes the avoidable causes of loss. We keep every permalink by default, build a full 301 redirect map if the structure has to change, and carry over Yoast or Rank Math data, meta descriptions and schema markup.
Do you migrate from WordPress.com to WordPress.org?+
Yes. We export your content from WordPress.com as a standard WordPress XML file, set up WordPress.org on the host you choose, import the posts, pages and media, and point your custom domain to the new site. The export leaves out your theme and plugins, so we set those up on the new install.
Can you upgrade my WordPress version during the move?+
Yes, at no extra cost. We update WordPress core to the current stable version, bring plugins to compatible versions and check that everything works on the new install before cutover.
How fast can you start?+
Work starts once the deposit and the access we need arrive, and delivery is counted from that day: 5 business days on Starter, 7 business days on Professional. If you have a hard deadline, such as a hosting renewal, tell us during the audit and the delivery date goes into your written quote.
What happens if something breaks after the migration?+
Every plan includes a post-launch warranty: 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Professional and 1 year on Enterprise. If a redirect, page or plugin breaks after launch, we fix it at no extra cost. Ongoing support after the warranty is quoted separately.
