Shopify hosts the store for you, so there is no server to run and no WordPress core, theme or plugin updates to manage. You give up some control in return: you can't change the code underneath, and product and collection URLs sit under Shopify's fixed /products/ and /collections/ paths. Yes. Variable products become Shopify products with variants. Attributes such as size, colour or material become variant options or metafields, depending on how your store uses them. Grouped and external products are rebuilt with a bundle app or a different product structure. If a product has more options than Shopify allows on one product, we flag it in the audit.

Active subscriptions move to a Shopify subscription app, either Shopify's own Shopify Subscriptions or a third-party app. Whether saved payment methods can move depends on your payment gateway; where they can't, customers re-enter their card details. We time the cutover around renewal dates to avoid failed renewals. Subscription moves are scoped on the Enterprise plan.

Yes. Meta titles and descriptions from Yoast or Rank Math move to Shopify's SEO fields for each product, collection and page. We check the structured data your Shopify theme outputs and add what's missing. Shopify builds its own sitemap.xml, which we submit to Search Console at cutover.

Nobody can guarantee rankings. A complete redirect map removes the avoidable causes of loss, so we 301 every WooCommerce URL pattern to its Shopify equivalent. Ranking drops are most likely when that map is skipped or incomplete, which is why it takes the most time in our process.

Accounts move with the profile data: name, email, addresses, phone and order history. Shopify can't import passwords from another store, because they are encrypted outside Shopify, so at launch each customer gets a branded invite to set a new password. We write that email so customers know it is part of the move.
