We map your Wix site structure: page count, blog post count, store SKU count, Wix apps in use (Forms, Stores, Bookings, Members), domain status, and SEO footprint. Wix doesn't offer a clean export, so we plan the extraction approach during the audit. Free quote in 24 hours.

WordPress + theme setup (Day 1)
WordPress installed on your chosen host. Theme picked and styled to match Wix design (Astra and Kadence both have visual builders that closely match Wix's editor experience). Plugins installed: SEO, forms, page builder (Elementor or Spectra), and any required app equivalents.

Content extraction (Day 1-3)
Wix pages extracted page-by-page via Wix's RSS export (blog), database scraping (where allowed), or manual recreation (for visually complex layouts). Wix Stores products exported via Wix's CSV export. Wix Media downloaded and re-uploaded to WordPress Media Library.

Wix uses URLs like /post/slug, /shop/product, /service/name. We build a complete 301 map to clean WordPress permalinks (/blog/slug, /shop/product-slug, /services/name). Yoast or RankMath SEO data populated from Wix's SEO panels.

Wix Forms rebuilt with Gravity Forms or Fluent Forms (with email notifications and CRM integration if applicable). Analytics, Search Console, and Meta Pixel reinstalled. Cookie consent configured.

Frequently asked questions
Why is migrating from Wix harder than other migrations?+
Wix is the most closed website builder of the major platforms. There's no clean export option. Blog posts can be pulled via RSS, but pages, store products, and layouts have to be extracted via scraping or manual recreation. Wix is also strict about domain transfers (you can transfer out, but only after a verification waiting period). We've done dozens of Wix migrations, and we've built tooling to extract Wix content reliably.
Will my Wix design look the same in WordPress?+
We rebuild your Wix layouts in Elementor, Spectra, or Gutenberg block patterns. The desktop design is matched 1:1 in most cases. Mobile is rebuilt separately (Wix's mobile editor doesn't transfer), but we use your existing desktop design as reference for the mobile layout. If you'd rather upgrade the design as part of the migration, that's part of our Website Redesign service.
Can I keep my Wix domain?+
Yes. If your domain is registered through Wix, you initiate a transfer-out from your Wix account. Wix releases the domain after a verification period (usually 5-7 days). Alternatively, you can keep the domain registered with Wix and just point it at your new WordPress host via DNS changes — that's faster but ties you to Wix as registrar long-term.
Will my Wix Stores products transfer?+
Yes. Wix Stores has a CSV export that includes products, variants, prices, and inventory. We import that into WooCommerce on WordPress. Customer accounts and order history require a different extraction method (Wix Stores API). Our Wix Stores tier ($3,997) includes both.
What about my Wix blog SEO?+
Wix blog posts have meta titles, descriptions, slugs, categories, tags, and OG image settings — all of these transfer. The Wix URL pattern /post/slug becomes /blog/slug in WordPress (or whatever permalink structure you prefer). We build a complete 301 map for every blog post URL.
Will my Google rankings drop after leaving Wix?+
Not when redirect mapping is done correctly. Some Wix sites actually see ranking improvements after migrating because WordPress + Yoast/RankMath give you control over schema markup, canonical tags, and internal linking that Wix doesn't expose. Expect 1-3 position variance in the first month, with full recovery by week 4.
What WordPress host should I pick?+
For most Wix migrations: Cloudways (~$15-30/month) for performance + flexibility, or Kinsta (~$35-100/month) for managed simplicity. We make a specific recommendation based on your traffic and budget during the audit. Hosting is a separate cost from our migration fee.
